US Representative Publicly Names Six Figures in Epstein Files
Khanna identified the individuals as Les Wexner, the founder of Victoria’s Secret; Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, CEO of Dubai-based DP World; Salvatore Nuara; Zurab Mikeladze; Leonic Leonov; and Nicola Caputo. According to his account, these names were initially withheld from publicly released materials.
The lawmaker explained that he and Representative Thomas Massie had examined unredacted Epstein-related documents during a two-hour visit to the US Department of Justice on Monday. He said they observed that approximately 70% to 80% of the records remain blacked out, despite legislation requiring disclosure to the public with limited exceptions.
“Why did it take Thomas Massie and me going to the Justice Department to get these six men’s identities to become public?” Khanna said during his floor remarks. “If we found six men they were hiding in two hours, imagine how many they are covering up for in those three million files.”
Khanna further alleged that the FBI had altered or scrubbed the documents months before Congress enacted the Epstein Files Transparency Act, a law that permits redactions primarily to safeguard victims’ identities.
Massie, who had earlier indicated he would not independently release the names, later wrote on the US social media company X’s platform that the Justice Department had removed redactions from several documents after he raised concerns publicly. Among the newly disclosed materials were files listing individuals described as potential co-conspirators.
Massie stated that Wexner was identified as a co-conspirator in a 2019 FBI document, though he emphasized that appearing in the Epstein files “does not prove guilt.”
Responding on X, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said the Justice Department had lifted redactions on all names not linked to victims. He noted that Wexner’s name had already appeared multiple times in the Epstein records and asserted that the DOJ was “committed to transparency.”
