Three people die in New South Wales shooting

(MENAFN) At least three people have died in a shooting incident in New South Wales, Australia, authorities said Thursday. Police confirmed that two women and a man were among the fatalities in the Lake Cargelligo area.

The incident occurred near Walker Street and Yelkin Street. Police have not yet determined the cause of the shooting, and the suspect remains at large. A man injured in the incident has been hospitalized in serious but stable condition.

Authorities have urged the public to avoid the area and advised local residents to stay indoors. A crime scene has been established, and an investigation into the circumstances of the shooting is ongoing. Local lawmaker Roy Butler emphasized the importance of staying inside due to multiple shootings and the fact that the offender has not been apprehended.
